List of abbreviations
Each usage example in the dictionary has a code following it that identifies the source for the text.
These abbreviations are usually followed by a number. This often refers to the year that text was published, but could mean something else. In the abbreviation list below, text in brackets tells you what the numbers refer to.
Where necessary, a, b, c is used for multiple texts published in the same year.
